Project Summary

Mangalam Foundation a charitable organization held its second camp for Hemophilia on 4th November, 2012 at sector-28, plot#223, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Large number of patients with their parents attended the camp. The visiting Doctor from KEM Hospital, Parel extended consultation and occupational therapy.

About one hundred patients have been identified by team in and around Navi Mumbai and Raigad. They have to visit KEM Hospital regularly for treatment with severe pain and internal bleeding as adequate facilities are not available in Navi Mumbai. Hemophilia disease refers to group of bleeding disorder which takes long time for blood to clot. The episode requires intra muscular infusion of factors costing Rs 10,000 to Rs 35,000 one time to save the life. The volunteers from Kutch Yuvak Samaj and Rajiv Gandhi College as well as dignitaries joined the mission to boost up the moral of patients.

Mangalam Medical center is open between 5:00 P.M To 7:00 P.M expect Sunday for free consultation on cancer, eyes, gyenic and cardiac problems. Medicines are also given free to under privileged patients.
